Mark,
Thanks for the quick response. Btw, I initially hit the "reply" button
ahead of entering any text so you may get a spurious email from me prior to
this.
Just one question - currently I use the "af out" to connect straight to the
"line in" on my soundcard so could I use pin 2 on the 7 pin DIN socket
instead? Or are there likely to be issues with this as I also use the "af
out" for PSK and MMTTY? Is it a constant level, or variable?
In fact I use 2 x FT1000MPs in SO2R operation for contests so would need to
(say) take a feed from pin 2 of each DIN socket into "line-out" connector.
Would this be OK ?

Hi Steve
The DVS2 connector has Tx & Rx audio available on pin 2 of the 7 pin DIN
socket - it's used for recording off-air and microphone audio.
See http://granta.digital-crocus.com/Voice_Keyer.php3 for details on a voice
keyer using the DVS2 interface.

Anyone know if the "af out" socket on the rear of the 1000MP carries
transmitted audio too - or if not, is there any way to record both received
*and* transmitted audio from a SINGLE feed?
I need to be able to record both my own voice (i.e. "moni" switched on) and
received audio to disc.
It *appears* that the "af out" is a fixed level, received signal ONLY, but I
am not really sure (yes, I know a lead attached to a headphone plugged into
the jack would confirm, but if some has "been-there-done-that" it would save
some time).
Please post any replies direct to the reflector, just in case anyone else
has a similar query.
Thanks
Steve
