[1000mp] trouble on 2 bands

PLEASE some assistance -

Have very happily used and enjoyed my 1000MP for now eight plus years - 
Many, many QSO's, lots of listening - no problems.

Up to this past week . . . .


Turned on rig this past Saturday AM - had it listening on 20 meter SSB - 
few signals, thought there might have been a solar event.  Switched up to 
40 SSB, and signals were strong.  Went back to 20, rig came alive with 
signals and then in a few moments returned to quieter conditions, (some 
signals.)  Checked my antenna connections, (G5RV up 48 feet, and seemingly 
AOK)  Attempted to XMIT and noticed half output power.  Went down to the 
bottom of the 20 meter band, again light signals, checked the tuner, it, 
tuned as usually it will.  Again, keyed down and half scale on the P/O 
meter.  Went down to 40, full signals, full transmit output - A-1 SWR, 
(same antenna.)
Check 15 meters, fine, full signals and power.  Checked 30 meters, same 
conditions as 20.  Gave up for the moment, turned off rig.
Came back Sunday morning, rig listened AOK on 20, thought it was a 
momentary problem, (full output as well.)  Made a few SSB 20 meter QSO's - 
No problem. Returned Sunday late afternoon - (rig had been left on.)  Now, 
no signals on 20 - no output, same on 30 - rest of the bands AOK - Checked 
the sub-receiver on 20, full signals - checked the transmit on the sub side 
- no output.  Again, other bands AOK, (except 30 meters.)

Stumped, where might I begin to discern the problem?

It's a pleasure to be able to share a problem on the 1000MP e-reflector, 
(just not happy to have to do so.)
