[1000mp] Connecting the Ameritron 811 amp to the 1000mp

Hi guys,
I need some advice, I recently bought a used Ameritron 811 amp, I also
purchased the Ameritron buffer interface ARB-704 with the plug and play
cable for my 1000mp, my question is, the switch on the back of the 1000mp,
the LIN switch should this be on or off?, I have read the op manual and the
service manual and I am confused on this switch setting, should it be on or
off, also should I connect the ALC line?, I have heard yes and no. Your
advice and expertise would be appreciated.
