I recall reading, a year or so ago on this list, a description of how the 
Mark Vs calculate power and SWR.  I don't recall the specifics, but I don't 
believe they use a straightforward directional coupler circuit.  So it 
could be that you have a combination of problems, with both internal and 
external meters displaying some nonlinearity in response to different power 
levels.  My VFD RF Power/SWR meter, while very nice in most respects, 
always shows a higher SWR at high power (~1.2 KW) than at low power (100 
watts).  The difference is on the order of 1.4:1 vs 1.2:1.
