For whatever it's worth, I use the bandpass (orange) DSP filter, and find 
the audio characteristic very nice for CW, which is 95 percent of my 
operating (with a 400 Hz Inrad 3d IF filter).  I have the Inrad mod 
installed, and, as others have pointed out, turn down the RF gain a little 
to restore the IMD performance as necessary.
