It is common to the type of lighting used in these displays.
I had an Icom IC-756 Pro that did the same thing (actually worse).
If the room was cold it would be very dim for a while until it warmed
up.
I just leave my rigs on all the time, it keeps them more stable and
reduces the stress on the electronics from expansion contraction, etc.
