Bob,

I picked up my Mark V Field used and appears to be about a year old.  The display is just fine on the low setting..not dim at all.  I have noticed with this rig as well as the Icom 775dsp I used to own that if the ambient room temp is cool the displays are a little dim and them get brighter as the rig warms up.  But basically no display issues with the MK V Field.
