Seems like once a month we go through this...........FOR EVER. Yaesu isn't
going to fix it, do the mod and get on with it.

Subject: [1000mp] Key Click Solutions
When I receive the new Mark V next week the I'll test it on the air with
others to be sure the key clicks are still a problem on the new rigs as
well as the old. If Yaesu acknowledged the problem then they would be
required to fix the rigs under warranty. So my guess is they will
integrate the fixes into the product without saying anything. Last week
while on 20M CW I came across a station with terrible keying, very harsh and
bad key clicks. And when I contacted him, sure enough, he was using the
Mark V. So its not a minor problem. And if its so bad then why has Yaesu
let it fester? I haven't heard keying that bad since the 50's when cathode
keying was used without any spark suppression .
