On my MP, the AM carrier starts out at about 8-10 watts out when the
unit is cold. Over a half hour or so it eventually climbs up to the 22
watts or so I have it set for then holds steady. I have not begun any
investigation as to what gain line is drifting, although I ought to.
That tiny RF power knob is really touchy to adjust accurately. My old
FT980 has the same symptom of a "touchy" gain control, so I suppose it's
a Yaesu trademark..
