Hi Harry.
Yes i to pondered over the correct orentation of the filters, i to have all
recomended yaesu filters fitted to my ft1000mp.
What i did was to check the if strip schematic diagram which show's the
additional componets fitted on one side of the push in filter assembly, and
go from there.
>From memory as you say not all the filters carry the extra
resistors/components.
