[1000mp] No more Yaesu

There was a certain lot number of 1000MP I believe around 1998 ...that had audio
problems right out of the box. A friend bought one new and it failed in about 2 hours
of use. He got another one from the local dealer and that ones failed after a time
too. They all had low audio out of the speaker as described here. The radio had the
wrong parts on the AF board from the factory. After this happened yaesu quietly fixed
the problem on later serial numbers and it was forgotten, never happen again. If you
have one of those yaesu & had it repair ...a lot of times the repair Tech will just
replace the parts and send it on it's way without really addressing the cause. Yaesu
keep the Tech's in the dark unless it's is a major blunder like the FT-100 mobile
radio fiasco with all the color dots on the box !! So you get your radio back all is
well until you crank up the volume & big signal comes along and there she goes again
....there's is nothing in wrong with the 1000MP receiver audio circuit design. My
1000MP is a 95 vintage and has never had a audio problem and will drive the pants off
any speaker connected to it ..With the volume control at 10:00 o'clock
