[1000mp] No more Yaesu

For John K9MM,

The FT-1000D is very reliable (many are still in use for 10 years or more),
sensitivity is superb (specs published are real; attested to with weak
signal work),
very quiet receiver (no "hiss" mods needed; MK V even after "hiss" mods is
still worse);
Lots of DSP functions but only a very few improved reception (my opinion)
etc, etc. I can go on and on. When I heard that a MK V owner had
to pay Yaesu $421 to fix the MK V's FP-29 power supply (not under warranty)
I was shocked !
Evaluate the FT-1000D yourself; find a local Ham with one and ask him if you
can try it out !

Hope this helps and yes these are my humble opinions.
73, Larry AJ2W
