Ok I'm a 1000MP Field Newbie. But I did check the manual
and this list's archive. I have found no reference in
adjusting the CW Tuning control under the top access panel.
Oh the manual says adjust to the spot. Well my ear ain't
that good. So I found another way.

I noticed that even before I changed the pitch to my
preference that when I activated the EDSP APF filters I had
to re-tune the radio. I heard others adjust the Shift
control to re-tune the station. Well, forgive me for
stating
the obvious, I re-adjusted the tune control pot. I found a
cw signal. I selected the EDSP APF 60Hz filter. I re-tuned
the cw signal until the signal was strong. And then adjust
the CW Tuning control under the top access panel until the
tuning indicator flashed. The pot is very coarse so tune
carefully. Now when I accurately tune even a fairly weak cw
signal and then activate the APF I can still hear the it
without re-tuning.

I did read some pretty elaborate schemes to accomplish
activating the APF without retuning, including balancing USB
CW with LSB CW (which results in a higher pitch offset than
I care for) but I think my way is simpler.
