[1000mp] Audio problem

I'm sorry that I can't help, but I can tell you that I've had the exact same
symptoms for quite some time (like a year or so?) on a now 6 year old MP.
It happens here perhaps 10% of the time I'm on, but, like you, all I need do
is hit a dit, and things are back. That has lead me to believe it may be a
relay or something, but I have no real idea. The only other thing to add to
your story, is that I find this almost (but not 100%) limited to 160/80/40
(i.e. non-beams).
I sure hope somebody knows the answer, and it's an easy fix - although the
problem is nothing more than a nuisance....

Steve

Over the last few days, my audio seems to be going "south" intermittently.
Some times, will be just fine. Then during a QSO it will just die out to
near nothing. Have the AGC set to auto. And, have the menu 1-7 set to
"off". No near signals to over power.
Using phones and no external speaker. Also, notice that when I jostle the
phone jack just a little it does seems to come back, but just
instantaneously then fades again. Hitting the key with a "dit" brings it
back. My FT-847 did the same thing and hitting the key brought that one
back, too. Wondering if others have the same problem or I need to be looking
at that board when I do the "click" mod and filter additions.

You can respond to me personally or share with the list.
