Hi Keith,

Not sure which MP you have, let alone what differences there may be in
the DSP features. My MkV has 3 items in the EDSP area on the front panel
- APF (Audio Peaking Filter?) - I often use this to narrow the bandwidth
when chasing DX, almost never in a contest
- NR (Noise Reduction?) - I usually leave this on A. It does something
to the background noise which makes it less tiring on the ears after 12
hours or so of contesting. Sometimes the other selections seem to be
better, depending on the characteristics of the noise.
- Contour - Occasionally use this when chasing DX, never in a contest.

I wouldn't miss the Contour controls. I would miss the other two.

What is the best way to use these, or , has anyone come up with a scheme to improve them?
