[1000mp] FT 1000 MP AC POWER SUPPLY

Hi Gang,

I am having a problem with my FT 1000MP turning on.

It sometimes takes a few minutes, sometimes lots longer. (sometimes with a
funny burping noise from the speaker)

On Friday I turned  the power switch on and by evening it had not come on.

Lo and behold today I turned the radio on and came up in about 10 secs.
Stayed on all day and OK.

I was looking through my circuit diagrams that came with the radio and don't
see a diagram for the AC power supply (internal) which is apparently an FP
25 and shown on the block diagram as assembly Q7000166.

Any help with the diagram or point me in the right direction, before I open
up the innards (with a sledgehammer and 200w soldering iron)

 I seem to remember that there might be a thermal fuse in the system (or was
it only in the display).
