Background:

Now using the Band-data jack on the back of the 1000MP in the non-relay
mode to key a Alpha 91b, seldom use QSK but I have the ability without the
1000MP internal really clicking, nice feature.

Recently a significant noise signal presents itself on the 160-80n and 40
meter bands at an interval of 17KC and is a S-9 plus signal. It's mostly
present after 5 PM until around 7 AM. It's not from my equipment or is it
generated in the house. No new electronics at any of the close neighbors or
any type of touch lamp.

I am thinking external noise canceling unit from MFJ, MFJ strongly
recommends that instead of the units internal RF switching unit that you
use an external keyer circuit. It appears that the band data syncs the
remote keying circuit to ground. I am thinking of isolating the two
external keying circuits with diodes to isolate them (two different
circuits). Also thinking about using two 2N222's as switchers, one per
circuit.

Maybe there is a safer and better way? Anyone done this before (Two
different voltage sources to key to ground)? Recommendations?

Still going to try and track down the noise.
