For the last 2 or maybe 3 years that I know of, Inrad has had a New 
Year's Day sale. 

IIRC the order had to be placed via e-mail on Jan 1.  In 2003 you got a 
discount of $20.03.  In 2004 you got a discount of $20.04.  I'm thinking 
of waiting until the year 3000 for a bigger discount.

Don't know if they're doing this again.  Keep an eye on their web site.
