[1000mp] ARRL REVIEW ROOFING FILTER

Perhaps you don't understand the purpose of the INRAD roofing filter.  

It's not to make any SINGLE signal louder....  It's purpose is to improve rejection of nearby strong signals.  My ears (and apparently many others) certainly can tell that it provides a drastic improvement in this regard.
