I made that statement in a direct e-mail to K2XX that he 
repeated.  It is based on two separate pieces of data: 

1) I have seen (and used) both the Yaesu and INRAD 500 Hz 
   filters.  They are identical (and the ones I saw even 
   had identical Collins part numbers) and the performance 
   was identical. 

2) Private e-mail from W2VJN when I was contemplating the 
   filter line-up for my own MKV ... George told me the 
   INRAD and YAESU Collins filters had identical performance 
   characteristics.
