I have never had any bad experience with INRAD filters either Pete. Most of
the contest stations I or my friends operate from use INRAD filters for one
main reason - they really are superb and have delivered when it counted !
They really have been excellent quality, well constructed and knock the
spots out of manufacturers standard filters (having also tried with both
Yaesu and Kenwood) and for a top end station for either DX or Contests are
well worth the extra.
