[1000mp] Why??

I cannot imagine why you should use a TCXO and 2.4 bandwidth especially for
60 meters...

I have the Mark-V with TCXO-6, but actually cannot notice any difference
between the standard TCXO-4 and the optional TCXO-6. Perhaps in severe
circumstances when temperature is varying very much and you want to make
digital communications on one single frequency.

For optimal speech fidility I would prefer the standard 6.0 kHz TX EDSP
bandwidth.

Both the TCXO and 2.4 bandwidth will effect the other bands too.

I've had a senior moment here. Someone earlier today mentioned that in
order to work 60 mtrs legally you needed the TCXO and then you needed to
change menu 5-9 to 2.4. It's default is 6. Now why do I have to do this?
I have the TCXO and it is installed and I changed 5-9 from 6 to 2.4, but
why? Also what effect does it have on other bands/modes?
