[1000mp] Why??

I suspect that the MP is not up to the required level of stability and that
is the reason the Mark V and Mark V Field come standard with the TCXO. If
you need more details, I would suggest checking the stability requirements
for 60 meters and then compare the stability performance specifications of
the original, stock FT-1000MP.

I had an MP but moved to a Mark V so it is not an issue for me. My use of 60
meters has been on an older IC-751A because it has the optional TCXO.
