[1000mp] Why??

Yes they did, but the tcxo option is still available for the original 857
like I have, but that does not answer the question that was asked earlier,
is the frequency stability on the 1000MP without the tcxo legal on 60
meters.

Didn't Yaesu add the TCXO to radios designated as "D" models? Recall that
all the new radios with 60 meters included now have the suffix "D" as part
of their model name.
