[1000mp] display issue on mark v is funky

My 1000MP behaves exactly the same. Is this a common problem and is there
any fix?

My Mark V does this when I haven't used it for a week or so.  I got pretty
panicky the first time, but it seems to behave quite consistently, so I've
stopped worrying about it.
