You may be lucky, my MK 5 was repaired free of charge under warranty !!!!

Shame I was only 4 hours into CQWW CW at the time.

Going from memory, I lost a relay, 2 diodes and a transistor - sorry I
cannot be more specific, I was quoted this verbatim over the phone !

As Hans mentioned, this is a common problem with the FT1000 - very
unfortunate for us !
