[1000mp] Bad Antenna Relay?

It appears that there are problems with some of the small DIP-footprint
relays, which may be involved with the complaint of many of us that the RX
signal drops by many dB on an erratic basis, but is then restored by TR/RX
cycling. Yaesu in fact replaced one of those relays in my MP in 1999--but
the problem has returned.

I had exactly the same experience as John on my MP. That was also a cold
joint in my MP also. Repaired in 5 minutes problem gone.
Unlike the PIN diodes the relays in the MP are of good quality. I doubt that
they could develop faults.
