Hi John,

Although explained on pages 13 and 35 of the MARK V manual it can be
confusing. With my AL-1500 it was a simple connection from your ALC on the
amp to the EXT ALC on the MARK V than a connection from your RELAY on the
amp to the TX GND on the MARK-V. Than put the switch on the back of the
MARK-V to ON. I believe the PTT on your amp would be used with an external
keying device like the HEIL footswitch that keys your amp before the rig.
If I remember correctly you will need a cord with a phono jack on one end
and a 1/8 jack on the other, I got mine at Radio Shack.

Hope this helps,

Dennis AB8NI
