[1000mp] SSTV and Easy Set Menu 8-6

I am confused and need some advice.
One of my favourite modes is SSTV on 14.230 USB.
When I set menu 8-6 Easyset to SSTV and press USER, it puts the rig into PKT
and LSB.
I have the original FT1000MP and don't remember seeing this on the
reflector.
I even checked my own site (chuckle) and didn't see any solution.
I think this has been resolved on the MarkV.

Does anyone have any experience and advice for setting up the rig for SSTV
to take advantage of the settings?
