For most of us, the observation is a reduction in gain, not elimination of
the signal, which rules out squelch as the source...but thanks for the

Oddly enough, I have experienced a similar problem over the past few
days and was just resigning myself to having to dig into the rig when I
discovered I had mistakenly twiddled the squelch control when I planned
to adjust the monitor level. Now I have restored the squelch control to
its fully CCW position the problem has gone away.
I'm sure that won't be what you fellows have done but I'm happy to bare
my backside just in case!
