Yes!  I discovered the problem several years ago using 
a home brew FH-1 key pad (nothing but switches and 
resistors) and confirmed the existence of the bug with 
Yaesu. The first time you use the keypad after turning 
on the radio it will reset the dash weighting to the 
default value.  You need to go back into the menu and 
reset it each time.  

Also, two of the memories have less capacity than 
stated in the manual and will corrupt each other if 
you exceed that limit. I believe it's ch1 and ch3 but 
don't have the info with me here at work.

BTW, when you change the weighting, you should change 
the dash weighting by twice the amount you change the 
dit weighting.  That will keep the releative timing 
correct.
