[1000mp] Filters

I recently installed a 250Hz 3nd IF filter (INRAD) and a 500Hz 2nd IF filter 
in my FT-1000MP.  The 250Hz filter works fine, but when the 500HZ filter is 
selected the receiver goes dead no matter what 3rd IF filter is selected.  I 
have actived the filters through the menu.  Is it possible I put the 500Hz 
filter in the wrong socket?  Any suggestions?
