[1000mp] Transverter Switch

I recently built the DEM 50-28 Six meter transverter (with extra gain stage
option) for use with my FT-1000MP.  My rig sits on a shelf at the operating
desk in a manner that the little "Transverter" slide switch under the top
hatch is not readily accessible.

Has anyone remoted their "Transverter" switch out of the 'MP to a more
convenient location?  I hate to have to pull the rig out everytime I want to
check on the activity on 6.

Perhaps there is another way to bypass the PA on this rig and get the low
power drive out to the rear Transverter connector without using the slide
switch and I have just overlooked it.

Any suggestions and assistance would be appreciated.
