Thanks for good comments Lou - I'll clarify the notions to my WEB-site.
- In first table third column NB setting set to 15 mean that noise blanker
functionality is switched on and setting is B15.
- In the same table fourth column "don't care" means that switching noise
blanker functionality on or off has no effect to the measurement results
- In the second smaller table no noise blanker mod is done - it is said in
the graph, but not in the table.
Finally - your interpretation on the results based on the smaller table IMDR
figures is correct.

Subject: [1000mp] Noise Blanker Mod results
> Hi Jaakko,

> Your English is excellent and much much better than I can speak or write
any foreign language. My problem is in interpreting the tables on your
website. There are three variables, NB on or off, NB setting, no mod vs
mod. It isn't clear to me what those settings are for each column in your
tables.
>
> For instance, for the third column in your first table, the NB setting is
15 and there no mod but is the NB on or off? Also, in the fourth column it
isn't clear whether the NB is on or off.
>
> In the second smaller table it doesn't say if the these data were obtained
with or without the mod. Judging by what you said in your email, I assume
it was taken without the mod. If I'm correct then your data shows that
with no mod, you get 83.7 dB with the NB on and >82.1 with the NB off and
set to 12 or below. This indicates that the mod only improves things when
the NB is off and then only with the NB set above 12. Right?
>
> And we agree, leaving the NB on when not needed, but in the presence of
strong signals where higher IMD is most beneficial, is not an option.
