[1000mp] Noise Blanker Mod results

Lou - I am sorry that my Engilsh is so bad that people do not understand
what I wrote.

I did not say that the mod improves the situation only when NB is off and
set above 11. I wrote that "If you do the noise blanker mod then nb value,
switching it ON or OFF have no effect on receiver IMDR." This means that
IMDR is good regardless of NB setting or on/off switch position when mod has
been done.

On IMD degradation with NB on - I wrote "The results are based on two tone
signal measurements - when you are having e.g. pulse type of interference
using the noise blanker will in practice decrease receiver dynamics more or
less".

Rauch's. You say the mod only improves the situation with the NB off and
set above 11 where as Tom says it improves it regardless of the NB setting.
It would be nice to reconcile the differences in his and your measurements.

IMD and perhaps it doesn't as measured but we all know from experience that
the NB will degrade RX performance in the presence of strong signals.

be the lowest level that is effective on the noise I get here and I can
simply turn the NB on or off as needed without having to set the level.
