Bill after getting a little more time to read your original post, I really
do not think that station grounding or electrical service grounding is the
issue here, I agree with the poster of the below message. I have several TV
sets here and one of them was getting tore up pretty bad even at low power
levels, also one of the telephones had a bad habit of ringing whenever the
transmitter was turned on. The simple solution to these problems was to toss
the problem items in the ole S can and replace them with another brand, now
everybody in the house is happy. As far as measuring the difference of
potential on the two ground systems I think your always going to observe
this and read anywhere from .5 up to 15VAC . I have never worried about
this, as I mentioned earlier I want to keep the station RF ground path away
from the AC service ground path.
