[1000mp] delayed display turn on

Mine Does the same,  after being off it then comes on and can take anywhere
from 2 seconds to 20 seconds depending on how long it has been off.  Not
only does it take a while to come on but it is also quite dim at first and
then after it "warms up" it gets to full brightness which is none too
bright....
