[1000mp] 1000Mp Noise blanker

Often times I listen to AM talk radio on my Mark V while working -
yesterday, there was a funny noise, like the sound from a speaker with a
tear in the cone.  Turned out it was only that the NB was on!  But when I
turned the NB off, the sound disappeared.  Maybe I misunderstood, because I
was under the impression that whether on or off, if the NB is activated in
the menu, it will distort regardless of the front panel position.  Tom W6EIJ
