Dennis,

I can't think of anything you are doing wrong...  Your able to tune the 
antenna on the 10M band, so you must have the 10M enabled...  The only thing I can 
think of is perhaps mabe your cabling might be wrong... but you said you 
checked that many times...  If you can use the Mark-V/Quadra on 10M in the OPERATE 
mode, I don't see why it shouldn't work with the FTV-1000, assuming your 
connections are right...  Sorry, but I just can't think of anything else!

BTW, I got on 6M yesterday with the Mark-V/Quadra/FTV-1000.  Worked a station 
in South Dakota, using 1kW into a Hy-Gain AV-640 mounted 8 feet off the 
ground.  The combo works great... hopefully you will figure out what the problem 
is!
