[1000mp] Dim Display

Bill, My 1000 field also has a dim display. It takes at least 30+ minutes to
warm up to acceptable levels. Seems to many out there that have noticed the
same problem and just live with the warm-up time (must be us OF's that
remember hollow state radio's). Some are not as dim, and that makes we
wonder if Yaesu has found a fix. Someone posted a mod to brighten the
display awhile ago. I do not know anything about it. It was just a simple
resistor change to increase the voltage to the display to a supposed still
safe level. If you would like it please let me know. Have you learned
anything else about this problem?

I have a new (4 months old) 1000 field and the display is quite dim for my
liking. Is there a mode for this that has the approval of Yaesu or the
support of this group as being reliable?
