[1000mp] MKV Field Dim Display

Check the setting first to make sure it is set to "Bright."
When I got my Field in May, 2002, the display was very bright.
It has gotten darker over time but seems now to have stabilized.
When first turned on, it is not very bright but over time it gets bright and
is very good. This takes about 30 minutes.

I wonder if some resistor has changed value or other component has changed.
I've gotten used to it and hope it remains stable or quits. I'm still in the
warranty period.
