My MP, manufactured in February 1998 has no apparent problem with the
notch filter in that respect while it's turned off.

I've tried many times to duplicate the IMD3 problem while rotating the NB
level control while the NB is turned off, and can't notice any difference
on a band crowded with strong CW signals, either.
