[1000mp] PC Control

Morning MR. Diamond. seasons greetings to you & your family. I want to thank
you for all your effort in reviewing & posting your Opinions on the various
rigs. you are one of  the few that I always reflect on when I am pondering a
radio.
for what it is worth I am using a Field, I purchased the shielded serial
cable at Radio shack, mine was male on both end's, NOT a null-modem cable
( all pins go to the  same # pin at the other end) & I use
http://www.va3cr.net/Software/CAT-1000.zip to control my Field.

Hi Folks,

Could someone please tell me what all is required to use
computer control on the FT1000MP Field?

I know on Icom it is a nightmare of boxes and cables...  That
is why I never tried it.
