[1000mp] filters

I saw a manual for 1000 filed this weekend. The manual seemed to
indicate that one could NOT switch between the 500 and 250 Hz filters in
the RTTY mode without going to the menu and changing the selection. Is
this correct? If so why; the last thing I want to do in the middle of a
contest is go to the menu!
