Grant,
     I am also basically a CW operator and had the same complaints as you. I
purchased my FT-1000mp Mark V (not the field) new a few months ago. After
reading your dispatch, I went to menu 7-7 and found the CW EDSP had been
turned ON. I changed the setting to OFF. This fixed the problem. I want to
thank you for sharing this information with the net.
