Hi Gary,

Do you have the mod?

Do you have any feelings/opinions about using this mod in a Mark V?

Is it worth buying/trying?

Best 73,

Steve

So reduce it 1 or 2 clicks, for starters... If you did not buy your MP
brand
new, you really won't know whether the setting on 9-1 was the factory
default, unless the prior owner specifically told you it was.

If you examine the diagram and text in the manual, you will see that
"tuned"
substitutes tuned preamps on 24-30 MHz and 1.8-7 MHz. If you work weak
signals on those bands, set 8-4 to 'tuned". On 30, 20, 17 and 15, it
does
not matter which setting you choose.

On 160, some operators prefer to use the "flat" setting.

Phil, just try the settings and see what they do for you.
