I really don't know. I just tried my BM-10 headset with the Mark 5 and it
is plenty loud, though not as loud as the speaker for an equivalent setting
of the gain control (but then the headphone gain is set independently of
the speaker on the Mk 5.

Well, at the cost of the 8:600 ohm transformers (a couple of dollars from
Muser) it seems worth a try.
