Just installed TRX Manager (Sept issue of CQ, pg 73) and interfaced Com1
(straight through db9 to db9) to my Mark V. Seems to work very well so far.
I can run the M V from it's front panel like normal or run it from the
mouse/keyboard on the computer. All functions seem to be present. It has a
Pan-Scope window that seems to work fairly well. You can set the freq span
etc. It takes the M V out of normal mode of operation while it scans the
band your on. Gives a pretty nice display of the band. Lot's more to learn
and lot's of functions and special windows for those who like to work DX,
rotator control, remote control of the M V over the internet etc. etc.
