[1000mp] Re:MK V Main Receiver drops dead

Gary, I have the exact same trouble with mine. It sometimes goes fine for
months. Seems like the squelch cuts off but the S-meter drops to zero at the
same time. I can usually bring it back by reducing the RF Gain control. I'm
suspecting an interconnect plug between the main IF and the audio board that
affects both agc and squelch. Don't know.
