Hello Steve !

Only for your interest:

We had a blown final unit at DF0CG of a FT1000D while testing the antennas
for 40m !

Due to the fact, that all German dealers said, it would take more than 2
weeks to take a first look on it and than minimum 6 weeks to repair, we
decided to ask YAESU Europe in Shiphol/Amsterdam !

I had a great conversation with a nice woman called Bettina and then a few
days later the FT1000D was carried to Amsterdam in my car.

Chatting a bit there with Bettina and the technican they promised me, it
will be repaired as soon as possible !

And what should I say:
After at least 2 1/2 weeks I got an info from Bettina, that the FT1000D is
repaired and the costs were great small !!!

Thanks to YAESU EUROPE in Shiphol !

So take care and check out the shipping to Holland and the time itll take
to repair in the UK...!

Jochen
